ORANGE HEATWAVE ALERT
REMINDER OF PRECAUTIONS to adopt in order to avoid heat stroke and dehydration:
- Refresh yourself and wet your body (at least your face and forearms) several times a day
- If swimming, enter the water gradually
- Drink water regularly, at least 1.5 L without waiting to be thirsty
- Limit sugary or caffeinated drinks
- Eat enough food and favour water-rich foods (melon, watermelon, grapes, plums, tomatoes, cucumbers)
- Choose a cool or shady place
- Equip yourself with an umbrella, cap, sunglasses
- Apply high factor sun cream every 2 hours
- If possible, shift your trips to the least hot hours
- Do not drink alcohol
- Do not expose yourself to the sun between 11am and 4pm
- Never leave a person alone in a car, especially a child, even for a very short time as the temperature in the cabin can rise very quickly. The same applies to animals.
- Do not engage in sports activities during the hottest hours (11am to 9pm).
